Keep Our Waters Clean: Prevent Pollution Going Down the Gutter
The leading source of water pollution in our local creeks, waterways and the San Francisco Bay comes from trash and debris going down our storm drains (or gutters). We know pollution can come from litter, but it also comes from less noticeable sources like pesticides, oils and even discarded food! All drains lead to the ocean, and any pollution sent down the gutters can create trouble for our fragile coastal ecosystems, harming local wildlife, plant life and ruining our coastline.
Remember: Only Rain Down the Drain!
